The All-New Fiesta Sport Van has been revealed
Ford have released images and details about the All-New Fiesta Sport Van at the 2018 Commercial Vehicles show in Birmingham. The van arrives with petrol and diesel options as well as a sporty bodykit. Let’s take a closer look at the new model to be introduced to Ford’s supermini-sized van line-up.
The All-New Fiesta Van has a more stylish exterior than the previous model, a bodykit inspired by the Fiesta ST-Line can clearly be seen on the new van, as well as this Ford have given 18-inch alloy wheels adding to the overalls style of the vehicle.
Ford have three options available when it comes to the engine, so you’re bound to find the right one to suit your needs. Two petrols and a diesel are available, all of which have been plucked from the Fiesta line-up. For the base Fiesta Van you are looking at a 1.1-litre naturally aspirated three-cylinder producing 84 bhp. A turbocharged 1.0-litre EcoBoost with 123bhp is also offered. The diesel engine is a 1.5-litre four-cylinder TDCi unit which is available with either 84bhp or 118bhp.
The interior and the technology of the van are where the major changes have been made. Ford’s newest technology has been incorporated to the three door van. You will now be able to use Ford’s SYNC 3 with its eight-inch colour touchscreen infotainment unit (optional extra) Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility is available too, as well as SYNC AppLink meaning you can access a number of popular smartphone apps.
New safety features have been introduced too, giving you peace of mind whilst navigating the roads. Pre-collision warning system with pedestrian detection and automatic emergency braking is available too.
The load bay is approximately 1.0 cubic metre in size and is found where the boot and rear three seats would otherwise be. Ford have said that the latest Fiesta Sport Van can carry 500kg!
